English Program

C.V.D.C.S. offers a number of specialized programs to ensure student success and engagement. Core French is provided daily to students in Grades 4 to 6 in addition to the regular English Program.

21st Century Learning is a focus for students, who have access to technology resources on a regular basis.

Special Education Resource Teachers (SERTs) and educational assistants provide supports for students in need.

French Immersion Program

In French Immersion, students are immersed in the French language through other subjects, including math, social studies and physical education. This approach enriches their vocabulary, develops problem-solving skills, and creates more opportunities to speak French in a meaningful context.

French Immersion also integrates cultural studies into daily language instruction. Students are able to develop strong fundamental skills in oral communication i.e. listening and speaking, as well as reading and writing.

The program is designed with English-speaking parents/guardians in mind. No matter your knowledge of the language, parents/guardians are able to support their children every step of the way.
