At C.V.D.C.S., we believe that each and every student is an individual with unique skills and talents that require nurturing. We want all students to develop strong literacy and numeracy skills, and have opportunities to learn about their interests. We want our students to become lifelong learners, realize their full potential, and become strong and passionate contributors to our community.

A variety of extra-curricular activities and special events are available for elementary students – sports including basketball, volleyball, soccer, softball, track and field, and floor hockey, and activities such as guitar club, green club, student parliament, breakfast club, spirit days, Science and Heritage Fairs, choir, and homework club. These activities build team and school spirit, and are supported by a strong parent and community partnership. Together, we bring life to our shared vision of a quality community school.

Our curricular and co-curricular programs for secondary students are designed to be challenging and flexible while providing meaningful instruction and experience to all. Students have the opportunity to take part in a variety of sports teams and extracurricular activities to further enrich their high school experience. We aim to help each student formulate and evaluate educational objectives that reflect their personal needs, interests and aspirations.

We believe that a perfect mixture of home and community is essential for the education and self-realization of every student. Along with home and community, our school shares the responsibility to develop excellence in each individual.
