Good plans shape good decisions

Priorities
Meet with guidance to ensure you are on track to graduate in regards to credits, literacy requirement and community service hours.

Guidance will meet with you in October/November to provide you with an application package for college/university and/or to discuss other post-secondary options.

Other Ideas
Organize a road trip to visit colleges or universities of interest (book a tour any time or go during open house….every school is different so do your research) talk to Mr. Salvador regarding coop and/or apprenticeship opportunities (OYAP) make an appointment with guidance as questions arise.

Prepare a resume to help with scholarship/bursary applications; if you are asking teachers or other community members for a letter of reference, they will need this information.

Listen to announcements and drop in to guidance regularly to find out about scholarship/bursary and community service opportunities

If you are returning to C.V.D.C.S. next year in order to finish your diploma or taking a gap year before college/university, it is still advisable to do some research on school/career options.
